Breakfast made, lunches packed,
Chickens fed, dishes stacked.
Kids dropped off, errands run,
Groceries bought, laundry done.
Kitchen cleaned and for a bit,
She is now content to s--zzzzzzzzzzzz....
Linking up with Ivy at Uncharted for Six Sentence Stories with the prompt "content."
Oooohhhh. Much better. And spot on!! :)
ReplyDeleteDid I make up for killing you?
DeleteLove!
ReplyDelete*Blush* Thanks!
DeletePlus, there's a chicken pic. Always good.
ReplyDeleteNot just ANY chicken. Daisy Dillon!
DeleteWait, are those 3 sentences??? But yay for rhymes! Just trying to write 13 haikus + 1 line for my colleague's 40th birthday :-)
ReplyDeleteMy husband pointed out that I screwed up my punctuation. I need to fix that!
DeleteWow. A day in the life and it rhymes!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how many dozens of other things Christine accomplishes in a day!
DeleteSounds like my day only written prettier... OK, except for the chickens... we don't have any of those, but I think two huge dogs and four cats, counts for the feeding part ;)
ReplyDeleteNo chickens for me, either. And I left out that she also has pigs, but six sentences AND I'm a lousy poet and this was the best I could do!
DeleteI laughed because I enjoyed this story.
ReplyDeletethank you
Thanks, Clark!
DeleteLOOK AT YOU! AND DAISY TOO! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!
ReplyDeleteThank you soooo much!
DeleteTotally delightful and so well done! Just the smile I need at the end of a weary workday. I think you've captured Christine's life perfectly! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think this is the tip of the iceberg for her but thank you, Josie!
DeleteSo perfect!!! I felt like I was there - in Christine's home or at least outside of it!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristi!
DeleteNothing is better than a justified break and s-zzzzz!
ReplyDeleteI think any break she gets is well deserved!
DeleteI missed last week's stories--I'm going to have to go back and see what you did to Christine! Glad you didn't kill her off this week. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm behind with THIS week's stories. Yes, go see what I did to her last week and you'll see why she deserved this!
DeleteWhat a pretty chicken? Is or was? Very good use of your six sentences. Love the poetic flow.
ReplyDeleteThat's my chicken that lives with Ivy! She named it after my great aunt when I told her she had had a pet chicken as a young girl AND her parents let it roost on a kitchen chair at night, with newspapers spread out underneath it (Ivy draws the line at that). Thank you!
