Squeezing My Thankfuls In

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the neighbor's dog is barking INCESSANTLY. Seriously, that dog doesn't even stop to take a breath. I have pondered figuring out when he sleeps, and then going over there and waking HIM up and interrupting his every thought, but I don't think HE thinks much....

Instead, I shall try to ignore him, as I am waist-deep in the A to Z Challenge, a thematic blog challenge that takes place every April, with over 2,000 bloggers signed up this year. My theme is Pinterest Challenges, and I currently have three projects in the works at this very moment (two are drying, one is cooling). I would love it if you would follow along with me!

In the meantime, there is still Ten Things of Thankful. Here are mine:

1. Monday was the fourth anniversary of when I parted ways with my boobies, and I've never looked back.

2. Only thirteen more monthly treatments!

3. FAFSA completed to the best of my ability and submitted.

4. "Help" from two of my cats on one of my Pinterest projects for the A to Z Challenge did not ruin said project. Well, if it's a Pinterest fail, it won't be the cats' fault, anyway.

5. Buy one, get one half price necklace sale at Charming Charlie's.

6. We finally, FINALLY found prom shoes for my daughter. Cute AND comfortable.

7. Got my hair trimmed. Thanks, Darlynda!

8. Pinterest pins sent to me by friends for consideration in my A to Z Challenge. I'm going to have enough stockpiled to do this theme again next year!

9. Dinner and a movie with friends. (Mexican and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, before you ask.)

10. Aleve.

There, and I didn't even have to resort to using the Secret Book of Rules to get ten thankfuls! If I can do it while juggling the A to Z, then YOU can, too. Link up with us!

    1. You are so good at getting frist on my posts! I do have enough pins that I will probably do the same thing next year for A to Z, so feel free to send me pins any time!
She was going to wear flip flops (bedazzled ones), because she knew heels would be miserable, although they look good for pictures. Then we found some that have a wedge heel (way more comfortable than a stiletto heel), it's not terribly high (which will keep them comfortable, although she's not that tall and can wear any heel height) and have a comfort lining on the insole. AND only $25 on sale!
This dog is BIG. So he as BIG BARKS. I'm sure Teddy would say what he found necessary to say and then stop.... :)

  3. Thank God! I already wrote my post or I'd have to do it write now per you! lol
You my friend are one of the women I secretly (and not so secretly) admire for all that you do in the same 24 hours that I have (at least I think it's the same 24!!)
    13 and counting...way to go!!
Ah, the FAFSA. Damn, it's such an ordeal, no? lol
Yessum! Mexican food, Greek movie. Sounds like a fit to me. You know, I never saw but a few minutes of the first Wedding movie. The 2nd looks like it would be great fun :)
New shoes, jewelry? Good and good.
Damned if I know how to work the Pinterest thing, but good luck! And on the A-Z Challenge.
    Go Dyanne!!!

    1. So, if you hadn't written yours, I would have been an inspiration! Cool! :)
Don't kid yourself. I sit around, doing NOTHING remarkable, way more often than I care to admit.
FAFSA is a horrible, horrible thing. It is my belief that many people miss out on financial aid because they can't figure the damn thing out.
Carne asada tacos, my favorite. And I loved the movie, I think mostly because the dad (Michael Constantine - remember when he was the principal on Room 222?!) reminds me of my daddy.
      Go meeeee!!!

    1. Vanessa! I've been worried about you!
There's a yappy dog that we hear every once in awhile, but it's the big one with the big bark that makes me crazy.

  5. I also needed Aleve this weekend. My daughter and I are planning to go see that movie really soon. It looks fun. I'm glad you are doing a Pinterest challenge again this year. Remind me to eat my avocados plain or as guac.

    1. I sleep better if I take two before I go to bed. I loved the movie and now I want to watch the first one again. Make a smoothie, Val. You know you want to....

  8. So MBFW 2 is a winner? Good to know.
Love the photo of the tulips and homey home in back.
4th Anniversary! Cheers! Pop the cork on a bottle of champagne, because that is a huge deal of thankful right there!

    1. I really liked it! It made me a little sad, too, because Michael Constantine reminded me of my daddy.
4 years is, indeed, a huge thankful! Thanks!

  9. Sorry about the barky dog, I KNOW just how annoying that is! Our back neighbors had several for years. They finally moved out, I can only hope something similar happens for you one day :) What a great list, cute AND comfortable shoes are a gift from the gods!!!

    1. The neighbors have had a series of Boston terriers ever since they have lived there. Each is more obnoxious than the last. One of them used to come over into our yard (and he had to work to do that, as they are different heights, and he would have to leave his yard, walk down the sidewalk, then climb up into my yard) and bark and snarl at us. I can hear that big oaf of a dog bark bark barking RIGHT THIS MINUTE, too. I think it's a big ol' Lab.
The shoe thing was a Godsend, truly!

  10. Charming Charlies is the best!! Some of my favorite necklaces are from there.

Buttercup is appalled that she has yet to see Greek Wedding. Now she has to wait until after spring break when her friends get back. Apparently, I'm not invited to this outing.

    1. I love Charming Charlies, especially the clearance rack. We don't have one here, or I would spend WAY too much there.
I would go see Greek Wedding with you if I could.

  11. FAFSA is this HORRIBLE document that you have to fill out every year for financial aid for college. Pages and pages and pages of information, most of it financial.
I will be happy any time you get a chance to visit during the A to Z.
