The Setting: a bathroom, around 7:00 a.m.
The Scene: a man and woman are in a bathroom, getting ready to go to work. A calico kitten scampers about the room.
Woman (attempting to sit on toilet as kitten tries to jump up there to get a drink): Stop it, Ruby! Stop it! Get out of the way. This is not your water bowl!
Man: At least you only have to try to keep her away long enough to sit down. She thinks I'm a fountain.
Curtain closes.
Hahahaha! Yes, at least your pee stream is not confused with a fountain.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh.
She thinks her middle name is dammit. RUBY, DAMMIT!
DeleteI'm not a cat-person (not anti-cat though either..I like them, but just more of a dog-person...), but I really think I would love Ruby. She sounds so much like our Jackson --who I loved deeply! Even without your Ruby-stories, this picture alone would make me love her! Ugh! Look at that face! :)
ReplyDeletep.s. ...and on the vignette..."tooo funny!" :-D
Don't believe that innocent face for a minute. She's trouble looking for a place to happen.
DeleteOh no...I don't trust the face....but I still love it. Jackson was jet black and doesn't look anything like Ruby, but I can tell they would've been kindred spirits...er, something...two peas in a pod...er, kitters from another litter?? ack....I got nothin'... you get my drift, though, right? ;)
DeleteThis is why skip knows to turn and leave when I say "skip, there are some things we do alone!"
ReplyDeleteRuby doesn't understand personal space.
DeleteV is for voyeur.
ReplyDeleteBwahahhahha
ReplyDeleteGood one Dyanne :)
Thanks! Ruby makes life exciting!
DeleteOK, sister...you are typically funny. But that is VERY funny. I'm glad I wasn't drinking something when I read that b/c it would have surely come out through my nose.
ReplyDeleteLMAO yikes!
ReplyDeleteRuby and Crooks would probably like one another.
One time, as I was... you know... peeing... he thought he would jump up on the toilet, thinking the lid was down I assume. I dunno. His mother was psycho. I saw it coming and tried to cut off the stream, but it was a little too late... and then I had to hold it as the panicked scampering shenanigans ensued! Then finished up and washed him down. Fun times... Fun times...
