Baked cinnamon rolls:
Cooked up some pizza sauce (lots of garlic - yum!):
Made noodles for the chicken and noodles that will be supper:
Mixed pizza dough and let it rise:
And that was all before noon.
What the kids did with a delightful gift of a snow day:
Daughter and friend plus unpictured son watched Netflix allllllll day (when not eating cinnamon rolls, pizza and fudge):
What the cat did:
Business as usual. |
Holy cow! That all looks delicious. Nothing like homemade noodles. You know what would go well with them? Free range chickens. I'll supply the chickens if you supply the noodles!
ReplyDeleteDeal! We can sit down and talk about high school-age sons while we're at it!
ReplyDeleteI love me a snow day! And you spent it perfectly...you're doing it right ;)
ReplyDeleteWith any luck, we might get another one this week. Time to replenish the flour, sugar, yeast, butter and diet coke!
DeleteWhat!? I didn't think it was humanly possible to make all of that in a week, let alone one day. Color me impressed.
ReplyDeleteIt was only because it was MY idea. A gun has to be held to my head to fix a meal on any other day.
DeleteWhatever meds you're on I need some too. What I did all day? Check my email, write in my blog, check my facebook, write a little more, check my twitter, write, make a mess in the kitchen, catch up on other peoples contributions to hops. Oh yeah....son watched Leave it to Beaver ALL DAY. But that's ok, cause that's how I found you :-) Still, what meds are you on?
ReplyDeleteThat was Snow Day #1. I ran out of steam by the time Snow Day #2 came and spent the day quarreling with the rest of the prisoners in my house and playing on the computer.
DeleteI got tired just reading all the stuff you did! So happy we haven't had a snow day, I wouldn't get a THING done with my son bugging me every 5 minutes. :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as I was in the kitchen, churning out food for everyone, no one bothered me too much. And realize that none of it was really productive. I didn't do anything with the piles of laundry in the basement....
DeleteMy day is usually more like the cat's...
ReplyDeleteI hope you stopped and watched a movie too after all that work!
(Stopping by from the Bloghole hop)
Thank you so much for stopping by! We only get one to two snow days a year, if we're lucky (except for the year Mother Nature tried, and nearly succeeded, to kill us all with 2 feet of snow in February and an EF-5 tornado three months later). If we had them often, I would be joining the cat instead of being all amateur chef.
