I planted 75 tulips bulbs under a tree about 10 years ago. My husband chopped them down the next year after the blooms had died, then squirrels dug up a bunch of the bulbs. I only have about 20 tulips left after all that carnage :( Our ground is so hard (clay and rock) that I haven't tried to plant more. Some day....
Oh that is such a beautiful sight to behold! Especially from someone under a few feet of snow, cooped up inside because it's a whopping TWO degrees outside! But spring is coming. Eventually. Thanks for the reminder :)
What a beautiful, iconic photo of impending Spring. It cannot be too soon for me.
ReplyDeleteThose little sprouts represent hope and a new beginning.
DeleteAre you serious! I'm buried in snow here and will be lucky if I see my tulips by May! Beautiful photo and it makes me long for Spring.
ReplyDeleteUsually the daffodils are the first to send up shoots. Seems a little early for tulips.
Deletewow put up the pics when they bloom <3
ReplyDeleteI love tulips
