Today's Eating the Alphabet A to Z Challenge post* is dedicated to the letter "E" and presented in haiku:
Eclair or Long John?
One is pastry, one donut
The donut is best
Golden ear of corn
You are summer on a cob
Just watch out for worms
Beans of ebony
Why must you fall from my fork?
You drop like goat poo
Edible or not?
You have sat in fridge some time
Test on husband first
Oh, edamame!
Food for us and feed for cows
We all would like mooooooooooore
*okay, so I didn't have time to make anything or buy anything, because I had to go to my dad's and take him to the doctor for a procedure, and of course, I hadn't pre-planned anything, so this is it
Clever! I like haikus.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm a terrible poet!
DeleteThis is smart...test my husband made me LOL
ReplyDeleteHope ur dad is ok
Love
Thanks, Afshan! Yeah, always test stuff on the husband :D
DeleteTrying to find relief for my dad's lower back pain. Hoping the CT biopsy he had last week gives us some answers!
Heeheehee! Sweetie tries to test on me, so i just declare it gone.
ReplyDeleteThis whole post is very clever.
Thanks, Mimi! My husband has grown wary of me handing him food and saying "see if this is okay"!
DeleteTest on husband first. Good idea. Guinea pig ready. Believes wife knows best regarding food.
ReplyDeleteA to Z challenge makes you write. Write and interact with a big blogger community.

If we had a dog, I guess I would try it before the husband, but since we don't.... :)
DeleteThe A to Z is so much fun, isn't it?
No! dont feed the edamame to the cows!!
ReplyDeleteThey prefer their soybeans fully matured anyway
DeleteGood one even without a recipe. First things first.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristin! I juggled all week and finally dropped all the balls! :D
DeleteI laughed at your line about testing the stuff that's been in your fridge for a while on the husband. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Astrid!
DeleteDonut, pastry, I don't care--I love them all! I liked the line "Summer on a cob"--memories of summers past.

Same, but still prefer the donut! Glad you liked the line. I felt pretty artsy with it, since I'm actually a terrible poet!
DeleteWhat a funny post. I like your poem.

ReplyDeleteThat's a long john, and it was DELICIOUS! It was originally going to be part of my "D" post that fell through!
DeleteThere is a local bakery in my hometown well known for their Eclairs. I enjoy a bite or two but they are super sweet. Weekends In Maine
