Content: A Six Sentence Story

For Christine, because I killed her in last week's Six Sentence Story:

Breakfast made, lunches packed,
Chickens fed, dishes stacked.

Kids dropped off, errands run,
Groceries bought, laundry done.

Kitchen cleaned and for a bit,
She is now content to s--zzzzzzzzzzzz....

Linking up with Ivy at Uncharted for Six Sentence Stories with the prompt "content."

  5. Sounds like my day only written prettier... OK, except for the chickens... we don't have any of those, but I think two huge dogs and four cats, counts for the feeding part ;)

    1. That's my chicken that lives with Ivy! She named it after my great aunt when I told her she had had a pet chicken as a young girl AND her parents let it roost on a kitchen chair at night, with newspapers spread out underneath it (Ivy draws the line at that). Thank you!
